Steven King has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Engineering Design from Tufts University. During his early career he helped pioneer mobile robot applications by developing machine vision obstacle avoidance and guidance algorithms. Later during his time at Acuity Imaging, RVSI, Siemens and Microscan, Steve developed machine vision solutions, primarily for the semiconductor and electronics industry. Steve is currently employed by Omron Microscan where he continues to develop machine vision solutions, and also is the product manager for the Omron Microscan family of Machine Vision and Lighting products.
